St George ICU offers a high quality comprehensive training program for current and prospective CICM trainees (including Transition Year positions in Echocardiography, and Sim & Education) as well as rotating trainees from other Colleges. We also offer two Post-Graduate Fellowship (SMO) Positions in Echocardiography, and Research & Clinical Governance.
St George ICU is unique in that it is a well-staffed large tertiary unit with a broad range of medical, surgical and subspecialty intensive care medicine exposure, without being too busy for education and training, independent study or personal development.
Remuneration rates can be found in the NSW Health Service Health Professionals State Award for JMOs and the Staff Specialists State Award for SMOs.
We offer the following rotations for CICM Trainees & Advanced Trainees:
- Rural (Port Macquarie Base Hospital, Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital)
- Paediatrics
- Anaesthetics
- Internal Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
We offer both full-time and part-time positions.
