At St. George Hospital ICU, we offer a range of courses and workshops for nurses and doctors alike, targeting a variety of skillsets from beginners to more senior staff. Those open to the public are listed below.
Others are only internally offered for our staff, such as the Re-sternotomy, Haemodynamic, Ventilation, Organ Donation (FDC core) and ECMO workshops, and are not featured here.
Numerous additional workshops and courses are offered by the St George Clinical Skills Centre such as ALS, APLS, DETECT and EMST.
| Introductory Echocardiography Course The St George ICU Introductory Echo Course is a 2 day workshop comprised of 50% hands-on practice, designed for critical care trainees (including intensive care, emergency medicine and anaesthetic trainees) to learn focused cardiac ultrasound. | Beyond BASIC – Mechanical Ventilation This course teaches the practical aspects of mechanical ventilation in critically ill patients.
